Meet with recruiters instead of applying online?
While industries are being uber-ised, the phenomenon is facing lots of resistance barriers in recruitment: employers need to detect soft skills, which cannot be found on a resume. It is true that candidates and recruiters are familiar with « online recruitment tools », but the fact remains, face-to-face meetings are essential to form opinions.

What’s in it for the candidates?
More than 2,500 job openings and 500 training offers available at the fair – Moovijob Tour Luxembourg 2018. A satisfaction survey shows that, in 2017, 82 percent of candidates would recommend the event to a friend or a colleague and had quality interviews with exhibitors. On average, exchanges last between 2 and 5 minutes and 59% of the respondents meet more than 4 companies during the day.

Though they seem outdated, job fairs still matter
This alternative way enables candidates to meet several recruiters and the main actors of the labour market in one-day time, while breaking the code of resumes and cover letters.
